Our story

Hi, I'm Malini. Artist, storyteller, and the founder of Art of Birdie Studio. I make slow art for a burning world: prints and illustrations about the things that matter most to me: mental health,art, Scotland, migration and belonging, justice, and the quiet, stubborn work of care.

Every piece here is made by hand and printed with care often with recycled materials and plant-based inks, because how a thing is made matters too. Some of it celebrates the city I've made home. Some of it raises money for causes close to my heart.

When you buy from Art of Birdie, you're not just getting a print. You're backing an independent, queer, PoC-owned studio and putting a little more art, and a little more care, into an often hard world.

Prana means breath. Prana Mail is a small monthly practice of pausing, made for a world that rarely lets you.
